Instructions for Sending Graphics via Email
How to prepare your artwork
IMPORTANT: To avoid unnecessary delays or additional costs, please read the following carefully and be sure you send your design in a form we can use. Please feel free to contact us at 850-576-3171 if you need something clarified. Thanks!
On paper
We will be happy to convert your hard copy into digital files. The fee for converting your hard copy original artwork into a digitally scanned image is $45 per hour, with a $15 minimum fee.
You should supply clean, camera-ready artwork. It can be photocopied, laserprinted, or hand-drawn. Serif fonts can be difficult to reprint— especially at small point sizes. Set all type at least 10 points. If you want a negative image printed, we can reverse your artwork at no extra charge.
Computer Formats
We accept the following PC & Mac formats:
- Photoshop
- Pagemaker
- Publisher
- Illustrator (v10.0 and below)
- TIFF / EPS / JPEG (Important - please assure that images are scanned at 300-600 dpi.)
- Please note: We cannot use embedded graphics in other software to reprint your image. Please contact us if you are dealing with a word document format (or similar) and need reprints.
Your file can be sent via e-mail as an attachment [to: ords@municode.com], on CD-Rom or floppy disk. All disks should be accompanied by your own print out of what you expect the graphic to look like. Please be sure to label your disks with file name, format, your account number and a contact name & phone number.
Size
Size your artwork to the scale you would like it reprinted or larger. We can easily reduce your artwork to fit the size you specify, but enlarging artwork will cause the quality of the finished product to suffer.
Convert all fonts to objects (in Illustrator)
Or include them with your file. This is extremely important, we cannot be responsible for misprinted material if you forget this vital step. In Photoshop, use the Flatten Image command before saving.
Finally
If you are sending us an image that prints out poorly, it probably needs to be rescanned (if possible) before you submit it. (see 'Formats'). If you would like for us to rescan it, or try to correct the bad file, our in-house graphics team will be happy to assist you. Additional charges will apply.
